School excursions: several ways to discover space
For schools wishing to organize a one-day educational trip or school excursion, several programs are available.
The Visit (2 hours)
This program offers an excellent introduction to the world of space. Students discover the International Space Station, learn about the daily life of astronauts, and observe various technologies used in space exploration. Depending on the age of the group, some students may also have the opportunity to experience lunar or Martian walking simulations.
Mission ISS (3.5 hours)
This half-day program immerses students more deeply in the fundamental principles of space exploration. Activities include discovering space, understanding gravity, training on simulators, and exploring the world of astronauts through immersive experiences.
Mission Ariane (6.5 hours)
This full-day program offers an even more immersive experience. In addition to astronaut-training simulators, students take part in a micro-rocket construction and launch workshop, one of the most popular activities. It provides a practical and engaging way to understand the principles of rocket propulsion.
Residential school stays (2 to 5 days): a fully immersive experience
Educational residential stays allow students to enjoy a far more immersive experience than a traditional one-day trip. They are also an excellent option for a school journey or end-of-year trip that combines learning, team building, and discovery.
Programs are available in 2-day, 3-day, or 5-day formats and are designed for young people aged 9 to 18, with a minimum of 16 participants.
A version adapted for younger children is also available through the Space Classes Junior program, designed for children aged 5 to 8.
During their stay, students take part in:

Accommodation and catering for school residential stays
The Euro Space Center offers 240 beds distributed across 24 rooms, each accommodating up to 10 participants.
Each room includes its own bathroom equipped with two showers, two sinks, and toilets. The rooms are spread across three themed floors: Earth, Mars, and Sky.
A night supervisor is present on site throughout the stay to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
Meals are served at the Voyager Café. Specific menus can be provided to accommodate students' dietary requirements and eating habits, including vegetarian, pork-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, and other culturally adapted meal options.

The Visit lasts 2 hours, costs €14 per person and is available for groups of at least 20 participants. ISS Mission lasts 3.5 hours, costs €23.50 per person and is available from 12 participants. Mission Ariane lasts 6.5 hours, costs €36.50 per person and is also available from 12 participants.
What age are Euro Space Center school programmes suitable for?
School programmes are available from age 5. Specific content is designed for children aged 5 to 8, with explanations and activities adapted to younger students. Programmes then progress through to age 18. For residential stays, Space Classes Junior are designed for children aged 5 to 8, while Space Classes are available for students aged 9 to 18.
