Autumn holidays: what to do with children in Wallonia?
04/09/2026What to do during the autumn holidays with children in Wallonia?
The autumn holidays are approaching, the days are getting shorter and the desire to enjoy some family time is growing. This autumn break, why not swap grey skies for a day filled with exploration, challenges and discovery?
Getting out, discovering, experimenting or spending a few days away… At the Euro Space Center, the holidays take on a whole new dimension. Whether for a day visit, a holiday camp or a short family stay, children and adults can leave Earth behind and experience the space adventure from the inside.

A family activity to enjoy during the autumn holidays
You don't have to travel far to enter a completely different world.
Located in Transinne, in the municipality of Libin in the province of Luxembourg, the Euro Space Center offers a mostly indoor family outing, making it particularly suitable for this time of year. Rain, cool autumn weather or grey skies won't interrupt the mission: the experiences continue in the warmth indoors.
It's a great idea for an autumn holiday outing in Wallonia, easily accessible from Libramont, Saint-Hubert, Bastogne, Marche-en-Famenne, Bouillon and, a little further away, Namur.
And once you step through the doors, autumn stays outside.
Inside, you're heading for the Moon, Mars and the far reaches of the Universe.

A full day in the shoes of an astronaut
For families simply looking for something to do during the autumn holidays, the day visit offers the chance to spend a whole day exploring space.
More than five hours are recommended to make the most of the different experiences along the route. Children can try simulators, discover what daily life is like for astronauts, explore the Solar System, attend a planetarium show and experience the sensations of a space mission.
And this autumn, there is a new destination to discover: Mars Explorer.
At the controls, explorers fly over the Red Planet, target different areas, carry out scans and collect data to complete their scientific mission. An immersive experience that offers a new way to discover Mars by taking an active role in the exploration.
The visit can be enjoyed at your own pace, allowing families to share the same adventure while alternating between discoveries, thrills and quieter moments.

And on 24 October, discover space after dark
The autumn holidays also have a very special evening in store. On 24 October, the Féeries Nocturnes transform the Euro Space Center into an enchanting exploration combining science, magic and poetry.
As night falls, artistic performances, scientific and creative workshops, entertainment and space experiences immerse families in an atmosphere completely different from a traditional visit.
An original idea for an autumn holiday outing, to enjoy together as a family for one special evening.
What if the autumn holidays became a space camp?
Some families are looking for an activity that keeps their child engaged for several days during the holidays.
From ages 6 to 18, the Euro Space Center offers immersive camps covering a variety of space-related themes over a full week of the school holidays.
