Mars Explorer: The New Attraction of Summer 2026
This summer, the Euro Space Center welcomes a brand-new immersive virtual reality experience: Mars Explorer, a unique space adventure that plunges you into the heart of the exploration of Mars. This innovative activity, ideal for families, astronomy enthusiasts and technology lovers, enriches Belgium’s offering of scientific tourism and space experiences.
Take a seat in the cockpit of your exploration vehicle and set off to discover the Red Planet. Throughout the mission, you will fly over spectacular Martian landscapes, identify iconic points of interest, and collect scientific data like a true space explorer.

To celebrate the arrival of Mars Explorer for the general public, the Euro Space Center is organising a major festive event on Sunday, July 5, dedicated to space exploration, virtual reality and scientific discovery. This must-see family event in Belgium will feature entertainment, immersive experiences and fun activities centred around Mars and space exploration.

On very hot days, families can therefore organise their visit around the indoor experiences.
What age is the Euro Space Center suitable for?
Spationaut Day is open to visitors of all ages, although the visit is recommended from age 6 to fully enjoy the activities and scientific content. Some experiences have minimum height requirements: 1.10 m for Moon Walk, Mars Walk XP and Space Show 5D, and 1.30 m for the Space Rotor. Admission is free for children under 1.10 m tall.

Yes. Mars Explorer is one of the 11 activities included in Spationaut Day. From inside a cockpit, visitors take part in a Mars exploration mission by choosing exploration zones, scanning points of interest and collecting scientific data about the Red Planet.
Can you eat on site and should you book in advance during summer?
Yes. The Voyager Café serves hot meals, snacks and drinks, and picnics are welcome in several outdoor areas. Advance booking is not compulsory but is strongly recommended during school holidays and busy periods. Booking at least 2 days in advance guarantees admission and saves €2 per ticket.
